D.C. I love You, But You Are Bringing Me Down
My recent travels around the country took me to the wonderful city of San Francisco. I had never been before and immediately fell in love with the place. Maybe its just the unbearable humidity or high intensity environment I left behind in D.C. but the beautiful weather and laid back vibe really seduced me. SF is somewhere near the top of my ever growing “places id like to live” list. As such, it seems fitting that one of my favorite bands to listen to as of late is the rising SF outfit, Girls. The product of San Francisco transplants Christopher Owens and Chet “JR” White, Girls seems to be the perfect soundtrack to life in the city (which is quite literally translated in their video above).

Girls debut LP, Album, will be released by Matador and True Panther Sounds on September 22nd, which not-so-coincidentally falls on the equinox, the day summer officially ends.
