[Concert] Local Natives AD Session
Last Friday, Aquarium Drunkard, posted a wonderful four song-session from current favorite Local Natives at Infrasonic Sound Studios out in CA. The new songs hint at a softer side of the Natives, one laced with harmonies and violins. The 6 minute “Stranger Things” is a flowing piece that blends the sing-along moments of “Sun Hands” with a more mature sounding narrative, and is a true standout. Download the whole set here and get on the Local Natives bandwagon immediately, I have them pegged to be the next big breakout in 2010 with a proper full-length debut slated for sometime in the Spring. Also, any DC area readers should get after tickets for their show at the Black Cat with Fool’s Gold and Edward Sharpe in November, which promises to be astoundingly fun.
