[Tracks] CFCF
As people who write about music, Heavy D and I pay pretty close attention to Blogworld, P4k and our Music Submission email inboxes. I can’t speak for Dylan, but just between my Google Reader and our email submissions, I listen to pieces of 75 to 100 songs per day, in addition to what I listen to day-to-day. I listen to each track online before I make a call on whether to download it or not. After doing this for a while, you learn a few things. Notably: don’t blindly download a track because Justice or The xx is involved (there have been scads of craptastic remixes of both) AND develop a list of artists whose music (remixes and otherwise) you generally trust.
Membership in my group of trusted artists whose latest I’ll download without listening is exclusive, but I’d like to welcome the newest member to that group: CFCF. Everything he’s worked on has been fantastic. His debut album Continent has only been surpassed by his covers – of Fleetwood Mac and OMC – and remixes. Jams galore, sirs and gentlewomen.
