Capital got a bunch of smart music writers together to list their favorite end of summer songs. It’s a good list, but it’s missing two top-tier, if somewhat obvious, “summer outros.” “September Gurls” is the perfect longing, holy-crap-I’m-already-yearning-for-my-summer-lady-and-the-sun song. “September” on the other hand, is an end of the night and end of the summer track, though the party vibe leaves you hoping for an Indian summer.
