WOW, is this a fun video.  I love “Barbra Streisand.”  There’s no point in running through the cameos, because, as A-Trak mentioned on Tooter, the video is “guest starring… absolutely everyone.” So much fun… so glad they were able to clear the samples to give this track a proper release, out October 11 (UK) & 12 (US).

El Guincho’s video for “Bombay,” which doubles as the extended trailer for an upcoming film of the same name, is bonkers and decidedly Not Safe For Work, with lots of nudity and guns.  (No word on the release of the film, directed by Nicolás Mendez with music from, you guessed it, El Guincho.) G5 - Your (Sporadically Posted) EP of Links, September 23, 2010 I’m a huge gear head in all other aspects of life, so I suppose it’s not a big surprise that I love these Motherboard/Electric Independence videos from VBS. One of my dear friends, writing under the moniker Ms. Kurz (on some diva Lauryn Hill shit) made her internet writing debut over at Playtonic Dialogues yesterday on...

Tuesday Morning.
It’s the Tuesday after a raucous four-day weekend here in Chile.  It’s also my partner in blog’s birthday (Happy Birthday, Dijon!).  Here’s some stuff to wake us all up (that’s a banger up there in the photo, for the uninitiated). Beyonce - “Why Don’t You Love Me (Starsmith Remix)” Les Sins (aka Toro Y Moi) - “Lina” and...

We here at CotP are big fans of The Very Best (I think we’ve written about them in more posts than anyone else in this space).  I love Esau’s energy.  Even in what could have been a dark and creepy video, that energy and enormous smile takes over the screen.  What I love most about The Very Best is that they remind us that music is supposed to be fun and demand that we enjoy it.  I,...
