Yours Truly has turned its lens to Delorean for a lovely rendition of “Grow,” filmed last fall after the band wrapped its upcoming third album Subiza (out June 8 on True Panther Sounds). The track keeps to a bit more of a traditional pop structure than what we heard on the band’s last EP, Ayrton Senna, but in a good way. Between “Grow” and “Stay Close,”...

A Soccer Travesty
When it comes to Shakira, I understand the appeal. She makes solid pop hits, she has a wonderful accent and she moves her hips, uh, well. I live in Latin America and hear more Shakira than I’d like to admit and I’m STILL not sick of “She Wolf.” If anyone gets it, I get it.
That said, I’m writing to you today because a soccer-related travesty has taken place and...

Edit, 11:10am: P4k has confirmed that HtDA is Reznor and Maandig. I’m looking forward to finding out what’s to come…
Is How to Destroy Angels the latest from Trent Reznor? That’s the rumor about the above video and the afore-linked site. Consequence of Sound received a promotional email about HtDA yesterday and has deduced that it’s the upcoming work of Trent...

I haven’t listened to Nas or Damien Marley in sometime, but their upcoming collaboration seems like it could have a lot of potential. Marley’s patois is a great complement to Nas’ straight-ahead conversational style. Distant Relatives is out May 18th and from the sounds of it should be perfect for windows-down cruising.

I’ve been crushing the latest track from Theophilus London’s since it leaked last month. Now we have a video for “Life of a Lover,” a smooth slow-jam, featuring pretty girls dancing at one of Theophilus’ shows and riding around Brooklyn (I assume) on Vespas. I can’t tell if the Vespas part was shot on film or if the effects were added in post, but I love the...

I spoke too soon yesterday; immediately after rifling through their recent accomplishments and upcoming projects, The Knocks passed along their latest remix for an exclusive release. (Even busier than I thought they were, I guess.) It’s a wonderful down-tempo reimagination of Marina and the Diamonds’ mega-jam “I Am Not a Robot.” It’s a really great...

The Knocks - Blackout
Your friendly neighborhood up-and-coming production duo The Knocks have been wildly busy this spring. They wrapped Samuel’s debut album, Trains to Wanderland, and accompanied him for several live shows in Austin for SXSW and New York. They’ve started work with Alex Winston on her upcoming work. They produced “You Look Better When I’m Drunk,” the latest jam from...
